Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do you charge

All of our rates are in compliance with the NDIS price guide or DVA billing schedule. With the NDIS rate currently being $193.99 per hour. We do charge self-managed and plan managed clients slightly differently for travel, although these costs come out approximately equal. Feel free to ask further questions regarding costs if there is anything you want to know more about.

2. Who can you see? 

We are able to accept client's who are either plan or self-managed, as well those with DVA funding. We are not currently able to see clients who are NDIA registered. 

3. Are you NDIA registered 

We are not currently registered with the NDIA. There are a lot of changes occurring in the NDIS registration space and we look forward to becoming registered in the near future once these changes are clearer and the requirements better understood.

4. What regulatory bodies do you work under? 

All occupational therapists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (https://www.ahpra.gov.au/). You can look up any occupational therapist you are working with through this website to see if they have any pending complaints, conditions, reprimands, or restrictions on their ability to practice.

5. What Insurances do you carry?

We carry both professional indemnity, public liability, and malpractice insurance and can provide certificates of currency if required. 

6. Do you have your own clinic

Not currently, all of Canberra Occupational Therapy services are community based, either at schools, in peoples homes, or out in the general community.
